Emily Bracken is CEO of our Consulting Division. Originally from the US and now residing in Madrid, Emily is renowned for her unrivalled global perspective and knowledge of fundraising markets across the world.

Since beginning her career at firms Deloitte and Accenture, Emily has led a wide range of projects across the sector. From international expansion strategies to building fundraising expertise amongst global board teams, Emily is highly experienced at identifying the pathways to unlock growth for non-profits, large and small.

Emily is a regular speaker and sought after contributor at fundraising conferences across the world.

Zoe Oldham

CEO of our Recruitment division, Zoe Oldham, is one of the sector’s foremost experts in recruiting strong and successful teams. Originally from the UK, Zoe now operates from Madrid, developing her vast global network as a warm and dynamic relationship builder.

Having placed hundreds of high performing candidates over the years, Zoe now works strategically and innovatively to develop our extensive recruitment services while still leading important executive level recruitments for C-suite, director, and manager positions.

With a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, a background in occupational psychology, and deep cultural intelligence, Zoe supports NGOs to unlock sustainable growth.

Daryl Upsall

Founder Daryl Upsall has a 42 year international career in fundraising and advocacy for non-profits and social causes. He is known for his leadership and innovation, pioneering digital fundraising and co-creator of face-to-face fundraising with Greenpeace International in the 1990s.

Daryl provides strategic advice and mentoring to Board Chairs and CEOs of national and international NGOs. He has served on the Board and as Vice-Chair of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) in the USA and currently serves on the Board of the Irish Emergency Alliance.

A member of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Fundraising since 1987, Daryl was made a Fellow in 2010 in recognition of his exceptional contribution to the fundraising profession. Daryl has spoken at countless conferences in 35 countries and continues to write impactful articles to serve the sector.

Miryam Delgado

Miryam Delgado has been Chief Operating Officer of the Upsall International Consulting and Recruitment divisions since 2006.

Prior to joining Upsall International, Miryam worked for international publishing group Reed-Elsevier in the Netherlands and Spain, operating as Marketing Manager of several different business units. Additionally, Miryam previously worked for Community Service Volunteers (CSV), helping to raise funds for joint European projects from the EEC Social Funds.

Miryam has a degree in education and speaks several European languages.

Leyre Ayastuy

Leyre Ayastuy is a Senior Consultant at Upsall International, bringing over 18 years’ expertise in legacy giving and fundraising strategy. Based in Madrid, she leads HazTestamentoSolidario.org, uniting 26 organisations to grow legacy giving across Spain.

An experienced fundraising trainer, Leyre designs and delivers workshops on legacy fundraising and strategy for conferences, boards and fundraising teams, sharing fresh perspectives and practical tools. With more than 25 years’ professional experience, including senior roles in media with PRISA Group, Leyre combines her background in fundraising and marketing to help organisations innovate, collaborate and achieve greater impact.

Christina Pappas

Christina Pappas is an Operations and Strategy Specialist based in Madrid. With a multicultural background, Christina is a native speaker of Greek and German, is fluent in English and Spanish, proficient in French, and a beginner in Arabic. She coordinates an international team of consultants, ensuring the right expertise is matched to each project and organisation.

Alongside supporting strategic business decisions and marketing initiatives to strengthen brand exposure, Christina manages internal operations to drive efficient client and team management. She also brings valuable non-profit experience, having volunteered with the Red Cross Spain and the Peace and Cooperation Foundation.

Alhelí Quintanilla

Alhelí Quintanilla is an accomplished professional in operations, marketing and communications, with extensive experience in international environments.

Known for her problem-solving approach, Alhelí is the operational backbone of the Recruitment Division, ensuring that systems, processes, and teams run seamlessly. She also oversees Global Charity Jobs, an international platform that connects non-profits with skilled professionals worldwide. In addition, Alhelí contributes to the organisation’s marketing strategy and supports business development with data-driven insights.

Based in Madrid after years in Paris and Montevideo, Alhelí joined Upsall International in 2010, following a successful career as a journalist and editor in Spain and abroad. She is fluent in Spanish, French, and English.

Rosa Corbí

Rosa Corbí supports Upsall International’s Consulting and Recruitment teams with internal operations and data analysis across a wide range of projects.

Prior to joining Upsall International, Rosa provided administrative support to the financial department of the Fundraising Company SL and spent more than a decade working as a programmer and systems analyst for the Spanish company Coritel.

A mother of 5 children, Rosa credits her home experience in building her extraordinary organisational skills and attention to detail.

Katharina Steinkellner

Katharina Steinkellner is a high-value fundraising expert with 20 years’ global experience leading teams and major projects in the public and non-profit sectors.

Katharina has built leadership giving programmes and teams globally at SOS Children’s Villages and nationally at the Science Museum Group and National Trust in the UK. Katharina also managed fundraising boards, including at London’s Serpentine. Trusted by senior stakeholders, she offers an in-depth understanding of what it takes to succeed in engaging philanthropists, corporate partners, foundations and governments.

After eight years in London, Katharina returned to Austria in 2023 and joined Upsall International as Senior Consultant.

Amie Brown is a Fundraising and Communications Strategist with almost 20 years’ experience in the non-profit sector.

Through her career, Amie has held several senior fundraising and marketing roles at Cancer Research UK, ActionAid UK and NSPCC across individual giving, community fundraising, strategic marketing, supporter experience, innovation, and digital. Bringing a wealth of audience-led marketing experience, together with a depth of fundraising knowledge, Amie is adept at developing integrated growth strategies and bringing complex causes to life in an inspiring way.

Amie also works with the commercial sector, helping to build purpose led strategies for some of the world’s most well-known brands. Originally from New Zealand, Amie now lives in North London with her family.

Jirka Wirth

Jirka Wirth is a senior fundraising consultant, supporting non-profits worldwide on individual giving programs and sustainable growth. With over 20 years of experience, including his roles as Fundraising Director for Doctors Without Borders in Germany and Brazil, Jirka has led programs with donor bases of more than 500,000 and annual income exceeding €150 million.

Jirka’s expertise spans all areas of individual giving, with a strong focus on data-driven decision making, testing and innovation, and long-term income models. Jirka also speaks at international conferences and lectures at the Fundraising Academy in Germany. Miho Ito is the Founder and CEO of Arts Bridge Inc. and Executive Director of Music Dialogue, based in Tokyo. Educated in the U.S. with degrees from Northwestern University and Southern Methodist University, Miho gained extensive fundraising and project management experience with the San Antonio Symphony and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Bertie Bosredon is our associate consultant for all things digital. He has over 25 years’ experience in digital (and an indelible French accent). He knows the best tools to help select the right technology.

Prior to joining the consulting world in 2012, Bertie worked for the UK charity British Heart Foundation, where he was the charity’s first digital manager in the early 2000s, before joining Breast Cancer Care. Bertie lived in the UK for over 20 years before relocating to Madrid a few years ago

Based outside of New York City, Nancy has more than 35 years of philanthropic experience in the corporate and non-profit arenas. She is known for her expertise in senior non-profit management, board relations, high level foundation, corporate and major donor fundraising and campaign development and strategy.

For several years, Nancy managed Bristol-Myers Squibb corporate philanthropic giving following 30 years in humanitarian development at Save the Children, where she was the Vice President of Strategic Foundation Partnerships, Chief Development Officer, Executive Director, Promise of Childhood Campaign and Senior Advisor, Global Philanthropy.
