Background
Since 1997, Greenpeace East Asia has been driving environmental action across the region, tackling climate change, halting illegal deforestation, curbing toxic pollution, safeguarding food security, and defending marine ecosystems. With offices in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Beijing, Taipei, and Seoul, Greenpeace understands that environmental issues cross national boundaries, and that meaningful solutions require regional collaboration.

Over the past year, the environmental landscape in the region has seen both challenges and progress. While policy inertia and corporate resistance persist, Greenpeace’s persistent advocacy and community-driven initiatives have led to meaningful wins. From legal victories that protect critical ecosystems to growing momentum around climate accountability and pollution prevention, our campaigns continue to drive change.
Greenpeace East Asia also played a role in global efforts to end plastic pollution, advocating for a strong Global Plastics Treaty. This work reflects our broader commitment to international cooperation and systemic transformation.

At the core of all our efforts is a deep partnership with local communities. By supporting grassroots leadership and uplifting frontline voices, we continue to build a movement grounded in justice, equity, and sustainability. Guided by hope and sustained by action, Greenpeace East Asia remains committed to shaping a future where people and the planet thrive together.
