Candidate level: Manager
Background
Founded in 2024, the Global Fund for a New Economy (GFNE) is dedicated to building an economic system that benefits all people, protects our planet, and strengthens democracy. GFNE partners with leaders, changemakers, and innovative organizations to provide the strategic funding, partnerships, and infrastructure needed to drive this transformation.
As a remote-first organization, GFNE is committed to building a global team rooted in diversity, equity, and inclusion. We value a wide range of perspectives and strive to foster a collaborative, inclusive workplace culture that aligns with our mission. Our work spans partnerships with think tanks, community organizations, academic institutions, labour unions, and advocacy groups, building a global movement for a sustainable and democratic economy.
GFNE seeks a Head of Digital Media Strategy who will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's digital media presence and influence. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications, this role will lead efforts to elevate the work of a global network of partners, spokespeople, and national communications hubs to advance economic justice narratives through coordinated digital interventions. This is a unique opportunity for a senior media strategist to drive digital content and campaign impact at the intersection of storytelling, movement building, digital engagement, and international collaboration.

The successful candidate will combine a long-term strategic vision to build digital media power, and tactical ability to act in fast-moving news environments, enhancing the visibility and influence of progressive economic narratives in online spaces. This role will operate across levels, providing direct support to partners while shaping the broader digital strategy for GFNE.
