03 Nov Marijn van der Pas to head up CIWF in the Netherlands!
Having operated for over 50 years, Compassion in World Farming (CIWF) have been active in the Netherlands since 1998, actively campaigning for regenerative farming practices and improving animal welfare of farmed animals.
With the importance of the CIWF Hub in the Netherlands, a new leader was needed to continue to develop and implement the organisation’s aims, taking the mission to the ground in the Netherlands. We are very pleased to announce that Marijn van der Pas is joining the organisation as Head of Netherlands.
Marijn brings incredible experience in the non-profit sector, with deep expertise advancing policy and programmatic objectives. Looking forward to getting started in his new role, Marijn commented: “I am extremely happy to be joining CIWF Netherlands, to help win over the hearts and minds of people in the Netherlands and abroad for real animal welfare towards a sustainable, healthy and just food system. With thanks to McAra and the team at Upsall International.”
For an important role in the global organisation, our International Consultant, McAra Kirby-Fahey led the search for Marijn, tapping into non-profit networks in the Netherlands to find a strong leader.
McAra and the Upsall International team are thrilled to see Marijn take on the role and are once again extremely pleased to partner with Compassion in World Farming as they grow their team. CIWF have said: “We truly valued the team’s resilience and adaptability throughout this search. Their commitment and support helped us navigate potential challenges and ultimately led to a great appointment. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming Marijn on board.”
