21 Sep Psst…What’s the Word? Wafik Doss Joined the Team!
The Upsall International Recruitment team is happy to welcome Wafik Doss as our Editorial Consultant. He will be tackling all things editorial, from proofreading and copywriting to creative work and in-depth research, supporting our team and non-profit partners across every line of communication.
Egyptian-born, Wafik has lived in the UK for 15 years, publishing poetry and creative short stories as well as building an extensive background in the written word. Wafik went from a BA in Creative Writing to Text and Performance at RADA, followed by a PhD in English, Creative Writing and International Politics, developing a deep interest in international non-profit systems along the way.
Taking his literary education into the professional field, Wafik has worked with global organisations, brands and local communities, from the World Health Organization Foundation, a creative marketing agency, to the Ramses Wissa Wassef Art Centre in Cairo, honing his research, writing and editorial skills across the board. Wafik has worked across a wide variety of projects, from NGO landing pages, email copy and social content addressing global emergencies from Myanmar to Sudan, to influencer communications, regional trend research and creative blogs.
Based in London, Wafik is very excited to join this global team of experts, expanding his knowledge of the non-profit sector and supporting his new colleagues in all aspects of writing. Wafik comments: “Super excited to be joining this team of experts at Upsall International and getting to really put my passion for creative writing and reading towards meaningful global change.”
We’re excited to see what Wafik brings to the team, with CEO Recruitment Zoe Oldham commenting: “We are so happy to have been able to bring on Wafik to support us with all things copy editing, proofing and creative writing, he is already a great asset to the team.”
As Wafik begins this new chapter with our team and partners in recruitment, we look forward to reading more from him soon!
