UMI FUND

Sophia Hernández Reyna and Tomas Erskog are taking on new roles at UMI Fund!

Strengthening the climate movement by supporting community-led organisations, grassroots initiatives, and innovative climate solutions, the Urban Movement Innovation Fund (UMI Fund) is amplifying climate impact and driving collaboration globally.

Firstly, UMI Fund sought an experienced individual to set up, lead, and coordinate a new initiative to strengthen the organisational resilience and security of a network of global climate philanthropists.

Taking on the role of Senior Coordinator for Resilience and Security, Sophia Hernández Reyna brings a wealth of experience to the organisation and has begun her task to create and manage an internal network security hub.

Secondly, Tomas Erskog has joined the team, taking on the vital role of Executive Officer in order to provide professional, confidential, and high-level support to senior team members, including the Special Projects Director, acting as a crucial link between UMI Fund’s leaders and important stakeholders.

Senior Recruitment Consultants, Ruth Gardner and McAra Kirby-Fahey, managed the searches for Sophia and Tomas, collaborating with our close partners, UMI Fund, to further build their team.

Of the partnership, UMI Fund’s Ximena Warnaars commented: “Overall, it has been wonderful to work with Upsall International; the quality is excellent, efficient, and thoughtful.” Additionally, Tomas noted: “I’m grateful to Upsall International and their team for a very smooth recruitment process. I’m excited to start my new role at UMI Fund and look forward to the journey ahead.”

Alongside UMI Fund, Upsall International is pleased to see Sophia and Tomas in position, and we all very much look forward to hearing how UMI Fund’s newest team members support the vital mission.
