Marta Rocha - Traffic

TRAFFIC to welcome Marta Rocha!

As the leading NGO working to stop illegal trade in wildlife, TRAFFIC is operating in both the context of conservation and sustainable development. With such a vital mission, a pivotal role was needed in the team: Senior Officer – Trusts and Foundations.

Upsall International is now thrilled to announce that the role is being taken on by Marta Rocha! Marta joins TRAFFIC with a wealth of experience in the non-profit world and will take on a pivotal role in the team to sustain TRAFFIC’s income.

Joining the ambitious and collaborative team, Marta takes on vital responsibilities to develop TRAFFIC’s portfolio and build on the organisation’s strong fundraising track record. Of her recruitment, Marta said: “I’m delighted to be joining TRAFFIC and contributing to their mission to combat illegal wildlife trade, ensuring that trade in wildlife – both animals and plants – benefits both people and the planet. Biodiversity loss is one of the most pressing moral and practical challenges of our time, and after close to a decade working in global health, I’m excited to apply my skills and experience to this critical field.”

Upsall International’s Senior Recruitment Consultant, Ruth Gardner, led the search for Marta and, along with the entire Upsall International team, is very pleased to see Marta in position. TRAFFIC’s own Andrea Diez de Sollano commented: “We are very pleased to welcome Marta Rocha to our team. Her experience with institutional donors, trusts and foundations will strengthen our capacity to ensure that TRAFFIC remains at the forefront of making the global sustainable trade in wild species a force for good.”

We look forward to hearing how Marta gets on in her new role and have been incredibly pleased to partner with TRAFFIC.
